Minimum CompuHost V3 System Requirements

CompuHost V3 is a modern, full-featured multimedia application that incorporates many of today's latest technologies to deliver superior performance, stability, and functionality. To help ensure a reliable and enjoyable hosting experience, please verify that your computer meets or exceeds the following minimum recommended system requirements. As with any multitasking multimedia application, the stronger the underlying hardware, the better the overall performance.

Minimum Hardware Requirements

Operating System

Windows 7
Windows 8

(Both 32-bit and 64-bit editions are supported.)

Processor (CPU)

A capable, full-power Intel or AMD processor is strongly recommended.

Recommended minimum:

Intel Core i5 H-series or i5 HX-series (or faster)
AMD Ryzen 5 H-series or Ryzen 5 HS-series (or faster)

Not recommended (often insufficient for real-time multimedia):

Low-power or power-saving CPUs (for example: Intel U-series, Intel P-series, AMD Ryzen U-series)
Entry-level or legacy processors such as:
- Intel Atom
- Intel i3
- AMD A-series (A4, A6, A8, etc.)
- AMD Ryzen 3

These power-saving CPUs are designed for battery efficiency rather than sustained audio/video processing and often cannot maintain real-time lyric rendering or smooth multimedia output.

Graphics (GPU)

A high-quality graphics device with:

At least 64 MB dedicated video RAM
Support for Extended Desktop dual-monitor operation
Support for standard (4:3) and widescreen (16:9) resolutions

Recommended:

NVIDIA GeForce-based graphics devices
AMD Radeon-based graphics devices

Not recommended (use only if no alternative is available):

Intel HD / Intel UHD integrated graphics devices

Intel HD and UHD integrated graphics are widely known to struggle with real-time multimedia rendering and dual-display output, and may result in lagging or choppy lyric display.

Memory (RAM)

Minimum: 512 MB

More system memory is strongly recommended for optimal performance.

Storage

At least 40 MB free hard drive space for CompuHost V3 installation
Additional free space for compressed MP3+G files (approximately 4 MB per song on average)

Audio Hardware

A high-quality audio playback/recording device

Optional Hardware

Karaoke-compatible CD+G CD/DVD drive
(The drive must support reading of subchannel data used for on-screen lyrics.)
